Sunwest Aviation (CNK, Calgary) has announced the acquisition of fractional ownership specialist Jet-Share Aviation. The takeover includes the integration of Jet-Share's operations, staff, and a Citation XLS, now part of Sunwest Aviation's fleet.
The 18.1-year-old Citation XLS, C-FDXU (msn 560-5688), which had recently been inducted by Jet-Share, was added to Sunwest Aviation's CAR 704 certificate on April 29, 2025. It is now available for charter, configured for up to seven passengers and based at Toronto Pearson. Additionally, Sunwest has integrated all of Jet-Share’s operations in-house, along with crew and maintenance staff.
Jet-Share's fleet also included a 29-year-old Citation VII, C-FTOR (msn 650-7067), which is currently privately operated in Canada.
With this acquisition, Sunwest Aviation's fleet now consists of two Learjet 45s, a Learjet 45(XR), two Challenger 300s, a Challenger 350, a Challenger 3500, two Challenger 604s, a Challenger 605, the newly added Citation XLS, a Citation Sovereign, a Falcon 7X, two G150s, a G650ER, a DHC-8-Q200, two DHC-8-Q300s, a King Air B200, two King Air B300s, five Beech 1900Ds, and a Piper PA-31.
In addition to charter services, Sunwest Aviation offers aircraft management, sales, maintenance, and runs a fixed-base operation (FBO) at Calgary.
