IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) will lease twelve aircraft from Singaporean LCC Tigerair (Singapore Changi) to help boost overall capacity during the upcoming winter season. Reports in India's Economic Times claim IndiGo will take delivery of two aircraft from Tigerair each month from October until March 2015.

In the wake of a net loss of SGD223million (USD177million) in the year ending March 31, 2014 exacerbated by the poor performance of its now defunct Indonesian subsidiary, Tigerair Mandala (Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta), Tigerair announced that it would park eight of its 34-strong fleet of aircraft while cancelling its last nine outstanding A320-200 orders with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac).
