TAR Aerolíneas (YQ, Querétaro) is planning to launch operations in summer with a fleet of two E145 regional jets that it plans to base in Querétaro. The start-up is backed by local property developer Grupo MAFRA and plans to initially serve Acapulco, Guadalajara, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and Monterrey Mariano Escobedo from its base. It will only face competition to Monterrey where Aerolitoral (Monterrey Mariano Escobedo) currently already operates four times daily with ERJ-145s as well.
