Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) has confirmed the wet-lease of three B777-300(ER)s from its Indian partner Jet Airways (Mumbai International) from June onwards. It will mainly use the aircraft on its daily services from Istanbul via São Paulo Guarulhos to Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini and between Istanbul and Seoul Incheon. Turkish has now also transferred two additional B737-800s (TC-JFD, MSN 29766 and TC-JFG, MSN 29769) to subsidiary SunExpress (XQ, Antalya) that are based at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen operating Turkish Airlines branded domestic services. Sun Express already operates six B737-700s and four B737-800s on behalf of Turkish Airlines low-cost division AnadoluJet (Ankara Esenboga). THY is expected to transfer most of its Sabiha Gökcen domestic and international flights as well as international routes from smaller Turkish cities to Europe to Sun Express operated aircraft according to Airline Route.
