LOT Polish Airlines (LO, Warsaw Chopin) will temporarily wet-lease an A330-200 from Portuguese ACMI specialist Hi Fly (5K, Beja) between April 12 and April 29 to operate some of its flights from Warsaw to the United States where LOT currently serves Chicago O'Hare and New York JFK. LOT is short of long-haul aircraft because of the grounding of its first two B787-8s and the delayed delivery of its other new B787-8 aircraft currently parked at Everett awaiting recertification of the aircraft type by the Federal Aviation Administration.
