Yakutia Airlines (R3, Yakutsk) has had one of its B737-700 aircraft (VP-BIB, msn 30642) repossessed by aircraft lessor ILFC at Anchorage Ted Stevens airport in late September according to a report by Russian newspaper Kommersant. According to Kommersant, Yakutia is in major financial difficulties and owes ILFC approximately 2.6 million USD in unpaid leasing fees and also owes leasing fees to other lessors including FLC from which it leases its An-140 turboprops.
