Kinda Airlines (Damascus) is a new Syrian start-up which aims to serve Aleppo domestically as well as Cairo International, Alexandria Borg el Arab, Riyadh, Jeddah International, Dammam, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi International, Dubai International, Sharjah, Baghdad and Beirut regionally. The airline claims to have wet-leased a B737-400, JY-JAQ (msn 27826), and an A320-200, JY-JAC (cn 29) from Jordan Aviation (R5, Amman Queen Alia). Kinda was designated by the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority as Syria's second national carrier effective December 10 and says it plans to launch operations next month despite the on-going war in Syria.
