Amid growing consolidation in the German leisure market, established carriers Condor (DE, Frankfurt Int'l) and Germania (ST, Berlin Schönefeld) have entered into a cooperation agreement wherein either airlines' flights will be available via the others' distribution platforms.
In a joint statement, the two carriers said while their respective short- and medium-haul services would be cross-sold, ticket pricing would still be set independently by each airline.
Germania (ST, Berlin Schönefeld) has announced it will enter the German domestic market for a brief period over the upcoming summer period.
In a statement, the leisure specialist said it would offer a weekly return service between Dortmund and Heringsdorf, located on the resort island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea, between September 2 and October 28. The route will employ B737-700 machinery.
