Network Aviation (NWK, Perth International) has begun scheduled Perth International to Learmonth services after it secured approval from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to begin operating RPT (Regular Public Transport) flights on behalf of parent Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith).

Also served by Cobham Aviation Services Australia - Airline Services (QJE, Adelaide International) B717-200s and Sunstate Airlines (SSQ, Brisbane International) Dash 8-400s, three of a total of twelve weekly Qantas flights to the north-western Australian coastal town now operate onboard a Network Aviation Fokker 100.

The route is also unique in that it is Network Aviation's first scheduled service to a non-mining community destination operated on behalf of its parent.

In the wake of falling demand precipitated by a weakening minerals market, Qantas has announced a phased reduction in its Western Australian operations with services to Karratha and Kalgoorlie among the most heavily affected.
