Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) is reportedly planning to develop the Bosnia-Herzegovinan town of Tuzla International into a base. EX-YU Aviation News reports airline officials have already held preliminary talks with the country's Minister for Transport and Communication, Enver Bijedić, as well as officials representing both the airport and the regional government.
At present, Wizzair's Tuzla operations include flights to Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, FR, Dortmund, Eindhoven, Gothenburg City, and Malmö.
Should the move go forward, it would become the LCC's third base in the former Yugoslavia after Belgrade in Serbia and Skopje in Macedonia.
