MAI - Myanmar Airways International (8M, Yangon) will begin operating a 3x weekly Yangon to Osaka Kansai via Phnom Penh flight with effect from October 8. The Bangkok Post reports the service, while scheduled, will in fact operate as a charter flight.
According to the ch-aviation route database, the only scheduled services between Myanmar and Japan are operated from Yangon to Tokyo Narita by ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda).
