Aegean Airlines (A3, Athens) has signed a firm contract with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for two additional A320ceo aircraft, adding to a previous order of five A320-200s placed in September 2007. The aircraft - A320-200 (sl)s - will be powered by IAE V2500 engines.
Deliveries of the seven new aircraft will begin in June 2015 and will be completed in early 2016.
The Greek regional carrier is already an extensive operator of the A320 family of jets with two A319-100s, twenty-eight A320-200s, and six A321-200s currently used to ply domestic routes as well as services to mainland Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and North Africa.
