easyJet (London Luton) has reached agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) to exercise existing purchase rights for 27 A320ceo aircraft scheduled for delivery between 2015 and 2018. The move will see the British LCC operating a fleet of 304 A320 Family aircraft by 2019.

“These aircraft are subject to a very substantial price discount from the list price and are expected to be funded through a combination of easyJet's internal resources, cashflow, sale and leaseback transactions and debt," the carrier said in a press release.

The carrier and its subsidiary easyJet Switzerland (DS, Geneva) currently operate 153 A319-100s ans 73 A320-200s on flights to 132 destinations in 35 countries located throughout Europe, the Mediterranean, and Russia.
