Vistara (Delhi International) has taken delivery of its first aircraft, an A320-200 (sl) VT-TTB (cn 6223), on lease from Singapore-based lessor, BOC Aviation. The aircraft, which was ferried from Toulouse Blagnac to Delhi International via Ras al Khaimah International, is the first of an order of twenty of which seven will be A320neo variants.
The carrier is looking to commence scheduled domestic operations during the course of next month though this is contingent on its securing its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
