Transmile Air Services (Kuala Lumpur Subang) has officially rebranded itself as Raya Airways (TH, Kuala Lumpur Subang) after it successfully completed a restructuring programme. As Malaysia's designated national cargo carrier, Raya was acquired and ultimately spun off from the Transmile Group in July of last year.
With a fleet of eight B727-200(F)s and one B757-200(PF) wet-leased from DHL Air (D0, Nottingham East Midlands), Raya offers extensive domestic route coverage in addition to flights to Singapore Changi and Hong Kong International, done so as DHL Express. An additional five B757 freighters are scheduled to arrive in the next 12 months (the next is slated for December) to replace the B727s which have been operating for the airline since 2000.
