SriLankan Airlines (UL, Colombo International) will deploy its first A330-300 into scheduled revenue service on November 15 ch-aviation has learned. Having made its first flight on September 4, 4R-ALL (cn 1564) will see its first commercial flight as UL422 from Colombo International to Hong Kong International via Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.

SriLankan intends to deploy its full compliment of A330-300s onto the following flights out of Colombo: Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Beijing Capital, Guangzhou, Hambantota, Hong Kong International, Malé, Shanghai Pudong and Tokyo Narita, as well as from Hambantota to Beijing Capital and Shanghai Pudong.

Along with its four new A350-900s, SriLankan plans to use its fleet of six A330-300s to replace its ageing fleet of seven A330-200s and six A340-300s.
