Icelandair (FI, Reykjavik Keflavik) has chartered out one of its twenty-one B757-200(ER)s to US-based luxury travel firm, Abercrombie & Kent, for use on the latter's global "private-jet" tour packages.
The aircraft, which has been refitted with fifty lie-flat seats, recently completed its first trans-global "Wonders of the World by Private Jet" tour with additional flights covering Africa, South America, and the Pacific scheduled for next year.
Earlier this year, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced it had partnered TAG Aviation (United Kingdom) (VIP, Farnborough) in offering similar luxury round-the-world flights also using a refitted B757-200.
