Surf Air (URF, Santa Monica) has taken delivery of its first of fifteen new PC-12NGs on order from Pilatus Aircraft (PCH, Buochs). The aircraft, N809SA (cn 1490), was handed over to the Californian operator at Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd’s facility at Denver Rocky Mountain airport, Colorado, earlier this week. The aircraft will be deployed into service on November 18 when Surf Air rolls out its expansion into San Diego McClellan Palomar.

Delivery of the other fourteen aircraft is scheduled to run from now until 2016. As the new aircraft arrive, so Surf Air's fleet of three older “Legacy” PC-12s will be gradually phased out.
