Kuwait Airways (KU, Kuwait) is set to proceed with the acquisition of ten B777-300(ER)s airline CEO Rasha Al-Roumi has announced. A firm order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) is expected to be signed in the coming weeks following talks over the Kuwaiti carrier's legal, operational and financial requirements.

The first aircraft are expected to arrive from November 2016 onwards.

Earlier this year, Kuwait Airways placed an order with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) entailing twenty-five new aircraft - A320neo and A350-900s - as well as twelve interim leases.
