Neos Air (NO, Milan Malpensa) will terminate its Mombasa, Kenya charter operations with effect from January 16, 2015. The Italian carrier, which serves the Kenyan coastal town from Rome Fiumicino, Bologna, and Milan Malpensa, has not offered an explanation for its decision though recent events in the area involving Somali Al Shabaab islamic terrorists are believed to have been a mitigating factor.
Other European operators that serve or have served Mombasa include Condor, Finnair, Meridiana, Monarch Airlines (1968), and Orenair.
