Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) took delivery of its maiden A380-800, A6-APA (cn 166), on Tuesday, December 16. The aircraft, the first ten on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac), was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Abu Dhabi International direct. The jet is scheduled to make its commercial debut by December 27, 2014 on flights between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow.
At the same time, the Emirati carrier's maiden B787-9, A6-BLA (msn 39646), paid a courtesy call to its future home in Abu Dhabi ahead of its official delivery later this month.
