Chautauqua Airlines (Indianapolis International) ended flight operations on December 31 with all Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) services now undertaken by its sister carrier, Shuttle America (Fort Wayne International).
Effective January 1, Chautauqua was absorbed into Shuttle America as part of parent firm Republic Holdings' move to reduce costs through a reduction of the total number of Air Operator Certificates the group holds.
As a result of the move, Chautauqua's fleet of forty seven E145s has now been absorbed into that of Shuttle America, which now operates them under the Delta Connection banner.
