Fiji Airways (FJ, Nadi) will take delivery of its first A330-300 in December this year having recently completed the formal acquisition process with global commercial aviation financing company, CIT.
Once delivered, cn 1692 will join the Fijian carrier's other widebody fleet of three A330-200s used on flights to Auckland International, Hong Kong International, Los Angeles International, Melbourne Tullamarine, and Sydney Kingsford Smith.
"This acquisition is also integral to our plans to grow our network by adding another long-haul destination in Asia. We're in the process of selecting the new route and aim to utilise this A330 on it," Fiji Airways' outgoing managing director and CEO Stefan Pichler said in a statement.
The aircraft will be configured with 24 seats in Business Class and 289 in Economy.
