JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) says it will begin B787-9 operations in July of this year with its first of twenty jets on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) - msn 35422 - set to arrive during the late second/early third quarter of the year.

"Japan Airlines' FY2015 fleet plans include newly added Boeing 787-9s, which will be configured with the airline’s latest cabin interior (JAL SKY SUITE) from July 2015, in addition to the airline’s current JAL SKY SUITE B767/777/787 configured aircraft," the carrier said in a press release.

The Japanese carrier currently operates a fleet of eighteen B787-8s on flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Beijing Capital, Boston, Delhi International, Frankfurt International, Hanoi Noi Bai International, Helsinki Vantaa, Honolulu, Manila Ninoy Aquino International, Moscow Domodedovo, New York JFK, Paris CDG, San Diego International, and Vancouver International.
