Denim Air ACMI (Amsterdam Schiphol) will introduce its first ATR - Avions de Transport Régional equipment into its fleet later this month with the arrival of an ATR42. Currently, its fleet consists of one E145 and one Fokker 50 (both leased out to the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service), and two Fokker 100s (one of which is destined for Air Panama).
Effective March 9, the turboprop will be based in Amsterdam Schiphol and will be used for ACMI contracts and (ad-hoc) charters. It will be operated in close cooperation with a Spanish aviation partner which partly provides crew and maintenance support.
Denim Air is planning to expand into the scheduled services sector after management acquired Panta Holdings B.V.'s sole shareholding in the carrier.
