AlbaStar (AP, Palma de Mallorca) will begin scheduled operations during the upcoming summer season with services from Milan Bergamo and Rome Fiumicino to Lourdes/Tarbes. Thrice weekly flights from Orio al Serio will operate from April 27 until October 10 while those from Rome will operate 2x weekly beginning June 22 and ending on September 10.
The Spanish operator, which specializes in religious charter flights, is also planning to operate five B737-400s out of bases in Palma de Mallorca, Milan Malpensa, and Verona on flights throughout the Mediterranean, as well as from Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Belgium, to Lourdes and Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina - the airport serving Medjugorje.
