Al Maha Airways (Riyadh) took delivery of its first four A320-200 (sl)s - A7-LAA (cn 6347), A7-LAB (cn 6467), A7-LAC (cn 6494) and A7-LAD (cn 6529) - at a ceremony held in Toulouse Blagnac on April 23, 2015.

However, owing to persistent delays in the start-up's certification with the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the aircraft will join parent Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) where they will be used in serving key destinations across the Middle East.

As recently reported by ch-aviation, fellow Saudi entrant, SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam), has also taken delivery of its first A320-200(sl)s with HZ-SGA (cn 6455) and HZ-SGB (cn 6474) now in storage at Lourdes/Tarbes, France.
