TruJet (TRJ, Hyderabad International) has again deferred its planned launch date, this time to the first week of July, as its bid to secure and Air Operators Permit (AOP) from the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) continues to drag on.
In anticipation of its launch, the start-up recently took delivery of its first of three ATR72-500s on lease from an undisclosed Irish firm. Former Berjaya Air (J8, Kuala Lumpur Subang) machine 9M-TAG (cn 858) was ferried from Kuala Lumpur Subang to Hyderabad International on May 21 Skyliner Aviation has reported.
Once all regulatory paperwork has been completed, TruJet will serve Tirupati, Hyderabad International, Aurangabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry in tandem with a VIP jet charter service based out of Vijayawada and operated by Turbo Aviation Corporation.
