TruJet (TRJ, Hyderabad International) launched commercial operations on Friday, July 12 with scheduled flights between its Hyderabad International hub and Tirupati. Using its two ATR72-500s, TruJet currently offers daily services from Hyderabad to Tirupati and Rajahmundry. Starting July 15, it will also start serving Chennai daily from Rajahmundry. A daily service from Hyderabad to Aurangabad is scheduled to start from July 26.
As previously reported, TruJet plans to invest a total of USD79 million in the acquisition of three more turboprops by March next year in addition to setting up its own MRO facility in southern India.
