Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi) is considering expanding its network reach into the Middle East and Europe airline Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Campbell Wilson has revealed.

In an interview with Singapore's Today newspaper, Wilson said that while several destinations are under scrutiny, their launch would not be rushed given what he termed 'abundant opportunities' within the Asia-Pacific market.

“The West is definitely on our cards," he said. "We are exploring some options at the moment. We haven’t yet finalised our decision on an announcement yet but it is not too far away. Our aircraft can fly non-stop up to London."

Currently, the Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) longhaul LCC serves fifteen destinations in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand from its Singapore Changi hub. It recently became the world's first budget operator to employ a fleet made up entirely of B787 aircraft including five B787-9s and one B787-8.
