PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) will dry lease three B777-200(ER)s from Dutch firm AerCap following a tender floated in May of this year. According to evaluation results, the aircraft are Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi Noi Bai International) airframes - msn 32717, 32716, and 28688 - all of which will be used to replace the Pakistani carrier's outgoing B747-300 fleet.

Other bidders for the tender included the California-based LLFC Corporation which had put forward three Kenya Airways machines (msn 33683, 33682, and 33681) and Kenya Airways (KQ, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) itself which put forward its trio of unwanted B777-300(ER)s (msn 42097, 41819, and 41818).
