Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) took delivery of its first of twenty-seven A321-200 (sl)s on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) last week. HA-LXA (cn 6848) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Budapest on November 12 where it is awaiting entry into commercial service.
Its sistership due next month, the aircraft are part of an agreement with CDB Leasing wherein the leasing arm of the China Development Bank is financing six A321-200s for Wizz Air.
The Hungarian LCC recently confirmed a new order with the Europeans for 110 new A321neo aircraft that will begin delivery in 2019.
