RwandAir (WB, Kigali), South African Airways (SA, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), and various other international carriers have elected to transfer their respective Douala, Cameroon services to Yaoundé Nsimalen for the duration of upgrade runway works.
As previously reported, Douala International Airport will close to all traffic between March 1 and 21, 2016 during which time the 2,853m-long runway 12/30 will be resurfaced.
Airlines are being offered a 50% off on handling and landing fees to use Yaoundé airport.
