Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna) has announced it will wet-lease an A320-200 from German leisure operator Condor (DE, Frankfurt International) between now and the end of the year.

In a statement, Austrian said the aircraft would be based out of Vienna between May 15 and December 31 for use on flights to Bucharest Henri Coanda and Sofia.

The twinjet compliments the CRJ900 the carrier has already wet-leased from Adria Airways (Ljubljana) and its partner Nordica (ND, Tallinn Lennart Meri) to cover flights to Amsterdam Schiphol, Vilnius, and Milan Malpensa between May and October.

Meanwhile, Austrian's parent firm Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) has now completed its buy-out of the company after it reached a settlement with over ninety hold-out shareholders.

According to Airliners.de, inclusive of all sundry charges, Lufthansa reportedly agreed to pay almost EUR14 million for the remaining 3.4 million shares in Austrian that it does not currently control.
