Jet2 (United Kingdom) (LS, Leeds/Bradford) is planning to base an A330 out of Manchester International during next year's summer season ch-aviation has learned.
The widebody jet will be used on high demand routes such as to Palma de Mallorca in an all Economy Class configuration. The UK based LCC and its tour operator Jet2Holidays had already previously planned to wet-lease an AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur International) A330-300 in summer 2015 but had then cancelled the plan. Jet2's largest aircraft in its current fleet is the B757-200, of which it operates 11, equipped with 235 Economy Class seats.
