WOW air (Reykjavik Keflavik) has signed agreements with Air Lease Corporation (ALC) concerning the longterm lease of three new A321-200 (sl)s, one A321neo and one A320neo.
Of the aircraft, one A321-200 was recently delivered, with the remaining two to deliver during the third and fourth quarter of the year. The A320neo and A321neo are slated to arrive during the first quarter's of next year and the year after, respectively.
The US lessor says it purchased three of the aircraft from another operator just after delivery from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) while the other two aircraft are from ALC’s order book with the European manufacturer.
The Icelandic LCC operates two A320-200s, five A321-200s, and will induct its first widebody machinery, three A330-300s, later this summer.
