Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) will return six B777-300(ER)s to sister carrier Jet Airways (JAI, Mumbai International) over the course of the next six months the Indian carrier's acting chief executive, Amit Agarwal, has said.

According to The Economic Times, the aircraft will begin returning to India from August onwards and will be deployed on some key domestic routes as well as on other longhaul services including Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris CDG, and Toronto Pearson.

"Based on the market condition, our plan is to upgrade some of the existing A330 routes with [the] B777," Agarwal said.

Jet Airways currently operates four B777-300(ER)s on routes which include: Mumbai International to Hong Kong International and London Heathrow, and Delhi International to London Heathrow.
