CityJet (WX, Dublin International) has announced the deployment of its first SSJ 100/95B into scheduled service. EI-FWA (msn 95102) operated its first regular passenger flights on June 28 with return flights between Cork and the French cities of Nantes and La Rochelle.
"We are delighted that today we operated our maiden scheduled service for the Superjet SSJ100," Pat Byrne, Executive Chairman of CityJet, said. "We have flown the aircraft on charter services and of course in carrying the football team to Paris and back. We are very proud of the aircraft and we look forward to introducing our customers to its high levels of comfort and efficiency in the coming years."
The Irish regional carrier has fifteen aircraft due to arrive on lease with four due this year, with the remaining eleven due from 2017 onwards.
