Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has ordered six B787-9s from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) parent firm China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) has announced.
In a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, China Southern said the aircraft are scheduled for delivery between now and 2018.
Xiamen Airlines currently operates six B787-8s with two B787-9s - msn 63040 and 63041 - destined for the carrier. It uses the widebodies on regular longhaul routes to Amsterdam Schiphol, Melbourne Tullamarine, Sydney Kingsford Smith, and Seattle Tacoma International.
