Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. says it has entered into a five-year agreement with FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) to provide it with five B747-400(F)s for peak flying seasons beginning in 2017 and lasting through 2021.

According to the US capacity provider, peak season flying generally occurs in the month of December and, in some cases, even earlier.

An agreement to provide five aircraft for the 2016 peak season is already in place.

Atlas Air also provides B767 and B747 freight capacity to FedEx's rival DHL Express.
