Sky Prime Aviation Services (Riyadh) has been granted GACAR Part 121 authorization by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia unveiled a raft of changes to its Civil Aviation Regulations (GACAR), one of which required private aircraft, registered in the kingdom and operated for compensation or hire, to be licensed and operated in accordance with Part 121 Special Unscheduled Rules.

As previously reported, Sky Prime Aviation Services has specialized in VIP charter operations since its inception in 2015. However, under the Fly Prime Airlines brand, it is now planning to branch into the scheduled charter flights sector with services between Jeddah International, Riyadh, and Dubai International set to begin on September 1 using Gulfstream Aerospace G450 and G550 executive jets.
