Airwork Flight Operations (AWK, Auckland International) has ended scheduled Fokker 27(F) operations following its last commercial service on Friday, September 2.

According to the 3rd Level blog, ZK-PAX (cn 10596) carried out the flight routed Auckland International-Christchurch-Auckland marking the end of a fifty-six year service record.

Airwork is replacing the Fokker Aircraft with relatively newer B737-300(F) and B737-400(F) machinery. The freight specialist also operates an IAI 1124, five Metroliner(F)s, two Jetstream 32s, and one Piper (twin piston) PA-31-350 Chieftain.
