Klagenfurt Airport, in southern Austria, has been closed to all traffic with effect from September 12 until October 3 to allow for runway resurfacing works.

For the duration of the closure, scheduled traffic will use Graz, 92 kilometres away, with shuttle buses to be provided between the two airfields.

Aside from General Aviation, the airfield also sees several scheduled services each day with Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna) serving Vienna, Eurowings (EW, Düsseldorf) serving Hamburg Helmut Schmidt, and germanwings (4U, Cologne/Bonn) serving Berlin Tegel, Hamburg, and Cologne/Bonn.
