Finnair Cargo, the wholly-owned freight subsidiary of Finnair (AY, Helsinki Vantaa), and IAG Cargo will end a two weekly Helsinki Vantaa-London Luton service with an A300-600(F) operated by DHL subsidiary EAT Leipzig (QY, Leipzig/Halle), Air Cargo News reports. Instead, the two will use bellyhold space on Finnair’s A350-900 between Helsinki and London Heathrow.

Since the A350 offers less capacity than the freighter jet previously used, frequencies on the route will be upped to five times per week as of October 5. According to IAG Cargo, the new flight times and additional frequencies will offer better connectivity for both partners on their respective transatlantic and Asian network.

Finnair Cargo joined IAG Cargo’s ‘Partner Plus’ enhanced cargo interline programme during the first quarter of 2015 and in July that year the two signed a freighter-sharing agreement.
