Nauru Airlines (Nauru) has filed an application with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP), as well as exemption authority, ahead of plans to begin regular flights to Guam.
The Nauruan national carrier said in papers filed this week that effective late March of 2017, it plans to offer a weekly service from Nauru to Guam International with stop-overs in Tarawa (Kiribati), Majuro (Marshall Islands), and Pohnpei (Micronesia).
Flights will operate on-board B737-300 aircraft with cargo capacity available as well.
Nauru Airlines currently operates four B737-300s and one B737-300(F) on scheduled flights to Australia, the Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Kiribati, and Fiji.
