Memphis International International Airport has announced it will resume scheduled international passenger operations during summer of next year.

Effective May 1, 2017 Air Canada Express will offer a daily return service between Toronto Pearson and Memphis using Air Georgian (Toronto Pearson) CRJ200 equipment. The flights will be the first daily international flights at Memphis since Air Canada withdrew in 2012.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Air Canada, and are excited to return daily international service to our passengers,” Pace Cooper, Chairman of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority board of commissioners, said. “This route is more than a connection between Memphis and Toronto – it opens up many, many international connections for Memphis travelers as well.”

Though the Tennessean airport's international passenger traffic is limited, its cargo operations are not. Memphis is a major intercontinental hub for FedEx Express (FX, Memphis International) with connections to cities across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
