Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar) has begun scheduled international passenger flights out of Porlamar, the largest city on the resort island of Margarita, located just off Venezuela's northeastern coast.

The twice weekly, direct flights to Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini, Argentina, began on January 2 and will run until March 26. Operations are on-board the carrier's B747-400, wet-leased from Wamos Air (EB, Madrid Barajas).

Until this service, all of Conviasa's international services had operated out of its Caracas Simón Bolivar hub.
