Swiss (LX, Zurich) is planning to commence scheduled A220-300 operations from October 9, 2017, onwards ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.
Operated by its Swiss Global Air Lines (Zurich) unit, the first of the Bombardier Aerospace CS300 twinjets will be deployed on flights from Zurich to Naples Capodichino, Düsseldorf, Paris CDG, Venice Marco Polo, Kraków John Paul II International, Brussels National, Bari, Palermo International, Prague Václav Havel, Hannover, Budapest, Brindisi, Sofia, and Nice through to October 25.
Thereafter, effective October 29, three Geneva-based CS300s will be used to run a 5x daily return service to London Heathrow and a daily return service to Moscow Domodedovo.
Swiss has firm orders for fifteen CS300s. The aircraft will complement the fifteen A220-100s it has on order from Bombardier. Thus far, it has taken delivery of five.
