SpiceJet (SG, Delhi International) has ramped up its B737 MAX order portfolio following the signing of a commitment with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for up to 155 additional aircraft of the type.

The US manufacturer reports the new order, booked late last year, entails 100 firm order jets with purchase rights for an additional fifty. Complimenting this, the Indian LCC has also been revealed as the unidentified customer for thirteen more B737 MAX.

Inclusive of a previous order for forty-two B737 MAX, SpiceJet now has 155 B737 MAX jets on firm order from Boeing. Delivery dates were not disclosed.

The LCC currently operates two B737-700s, twenty-three B737-800s, four B737-900(ER)s, and seventeen Dash 8-400s.
