IranAir (IR, Tehran Mehrabad) has announced the signing of a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) the carrier's press service has announced.
According to the official IRNA news agency, the agreement covers Lufthansa's flights from each of Frankfurt International and Munich to Tehran Imam Khomeini and will come into effect from February 1.
It is recalled that the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in March last year covering the fields of airline IT, aerial navigation, and the restructuring of Iran Air.
According to the ch-aviation schedules module, Iran Air has marketing agreements with another Lufthansa Group unit, Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna), as well as Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo), AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines (J2, Baku Heydar Aliev International), and Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport).
